The Hernando Farmers Market is located on the quaint historic Town Square and is open each Saturday from April through October. The market features fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables as well as fresh local milk, beef and pork, eggs, gulf shrimp, local honey, canned and preserved items, knife sharpening, natural soaps and lotions, nursery plants, baked goods and gluten-free items, cut flowers, seasoned wood, herbs, fresh salsa, guacamole, hand-crafted ice cream made with local milk and more.
Stop by the outdoor cafe and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and baked goods or stop by at 9:00 am for a fitness segment with our Fit & Fresh instructors. Throughout the season, enjoy live music and special events that will take place during market hours. Senior Days are the first Saturday of each month and free transportation to the market is provided to all seniors ages 50+ who live in the city limits of Hernando. As a certified Mississippi Market, designated by the Department of Agriculture and Commerce, you can be assured of fresh local food and products.
SNAP/EBT can be redeemed at the farmers market table for tokens to be used at vendor booths. The Hernando Farmers Market will double SNAP transactions with Fresh Savings tokens, to be used for fruits and vegetables. Spend $20 in SNAP and recieve $20 in SNAP tokens and $20 in Fresh Savings tokens. WIC/Senior Vouchers accepted.
